Chicken with pickled carrots and turnips

Chicken that’traditionally cooking with potatoes can be served with carrots and turnips for more freshness.

C’is a perfect dish to cook whole’year!

Serves 4 to 6 people:

  • 1 large range chicken
  • 4 large carrots
  • 3 turnips
  • Thyme, rosemary
  • 10 cl dry white wine

Recipe chicken with pickled carrots and turnips:

Start by preheating the oven to 200 °

  • Peel and wash the carrots and turnips
  • Cut the vegetables into slices for carrots and pieces of similar size for turnips
  • In a baking dish, butter the bottom of the dish
  • Place the chicken and arrange the vegetables around
  • Add the white wine
  • Crumble some brown thyme and rosemary
  • Bake for 45 minutes
  • Water regularly with the juice or, failing that, with a little’water

After 45 minutes, the chicken should be cooked roti while vegetables should be lightly candied
