Barbecue, picnic and gardening are among the favorite activities of the French in return of spring.

The sun returns and desires with nature! According to a TNS Sofres poll for Campingaz *, the French are more than ever addicted to outdoor activities.

The barbecue tops : More than 3 out of 4 French indulge in the joys of grilling.

Then come picnic (62%), then gardening passionate 55% of the French. Follow hiking (48%), camping (31%) and water sports (25%).

All activities associated with the research nature of pleasure and freedom, but also usability and health.

The outdoors, a family history and’Friendships

In general, outdoor recreation is mainly practiced by families with children: 88% of parents do barbecues and picnic 76%, respectively, against 67 and 53% of those without children.

The barbecue is practiced with family or friends, usually with the gentlemen behind the grill. As good "tribal leaders", 80% of men say caring for grilling. At picnics, they care to take corkscrew and matches, while women take comfort, they are the first to think of glasses and folding chairs. Picnics of French are comfortable ... but not yet fully Greener! 66% of followers of picnics use towels, disposable plates and cutlery, although almost all states to be careful to leave no waste in nature.

Enthusiasm for the garden and gardening

Gardening is one of the passions that grow the most in France. A BVA survey to Gamm Vert reveals that cultivate his garden is seen as fun for 91% of the French. Popular activity, gardening never ceases to new followers: 31% of the French have a garden in their backyard, 17% on their terrace or balcony, garden and more than 1 in 4 has less than 5 years .

Gardening is seen as a way to relax, but also to "do it yourself" harvest their own fruit, vegetables and aromatic to eat healthy and to rediscover the taste of food. A trend that is in environmental concerns but also economic of our time, with 39% of the French, especially young people, see a way to save money.
