The rosemary or Rosmarinus officinalis is a compact habit shrub up to 2 m high.

External use

  • Concentrated infusion of rosemary : 50 to 60 g per liter’water. This infusion can be used lotion or spray, it gives the fresh complexion, firms the skin, reduces wrinkles. It is also possible’add to this infusion’bath water: sufficient, it gives anti-rheumatic baths, tonics or stimulants.
  • Rosemary tincture: let soak 80 g of plant in 1 liter of’alcohol at 90% vol. for one month. This dye proves excellent in friction against the rheumatism. If you have toothache, you can rinse your mouth with this lotion and keep it as long as possible on the painful and diseased tooth.

Growing rosemary for its benefits

Rosemary grows in n’any soil, even dry, rocky or poor. It tolerates limestone. However, the rosemary needs’a warm and sunny exposure.

The performance of potted rosemary is excellent as long as you choose a container of’at least 20 cm deep, filled’a mixture of sand and soil. The pot must be completely drained.
